Dreaming of green...

A couple of times over the last few weeks, talk amongst our friends and neighbours, has turned to seeds and gardens. I have leafed through a few seed catalogues and read this post on a friend's blog and I have to say I am starting to get the fever. Every winter I get the same feeling, when I am reminded that winter doesn't last forever and that spring is around the corner...if you can call 3 (?) more months 'around the corner' :) These pictures say it all...these were taken in July of last year...

This is what it looks like this morning...

Notice the fence in the first picture? You can just barely still see the fence posts now...most of the fence has disappeared under the snow.

For now I will keep 'dreaming of green' and thoughts of delicious, crunchy sugar snap peas will have to get me through to April? more like May, when I can get my hands back in the dirt!

  1. Oh how I wish the snow would just STOP!

Another 25cm last night and my 4 wheel drive got stuck in the driveway this morning. My first clue should have been the fact that I had to shovel the snow away from the bottom of the door so I could get in! I never made it to work and had to reschedule all appointments.

I have been thumbing through all the seed catalogues and dreaming of spring. I guess I should get my order in.

    1. I had an eyesight problem and I consulted doctor he requested to wear glass, but I am not happy with that because my family no one wear glass after working long time by sitting in front of the computer, I saw a review in one of the website they referred a awesome guide to get the vision power naturally, I applied the method and technique mention in the guide, within few days I got natural eyesight , check this guide >>( http://healthandrich.com/n7cs )<< I saved a huge amount and now I am happy. all the best

  2. Oh yes, I'm dreaming of green too!! We just got back from Arizona and when my son saw grass he sat down, closed his eyes and felt it with his hands while saying 'grass' with a dreamy look on his face. It's been far too long of a winter! :-)

  3. I'm starting to plan my garden now too. There are some italian field peas in the most recent issue of Mother Earth News that look great. Going to give those a try.

  4. Oh yeah, we saw those too - they do look good. I believe we Zone-3-ers would have to start them indoors. Reminds me to start looking at putting together a window-sill greenhouse in my office...
